Getting started
What is JobElf?
JobElf helps job seekers showcase their experience and connect with employers. Its professional profile tools also help people present their work and connect with clients, prospects and other professional contacts.
How do I get started?
Create your JobElf account (no credit card needed), add your information with or without a résumé, personalize your profile, choose how people can contact you, review your visibility settings, verify your email and publish. The 42-second walkthrough shows each step.
Do I need a résumé to get started?
No. You can upload a résumé (PDF or DOCX, up to 10 MB) to fill in your details, or enter your information yourself. Nothing from a résumé is added until you review it, so check the imported details before you publish.
Do I need to be looking for a job to use JobElf?
No. You can use your professional profile to showcase your experience and work, connect with clients or prospects, and keep your information ready for future opportunities. Employers only find you in JobElf search if you turn on Employer discovery.
Do I need a credit card to create a profile?
No. Creating your JobElf account and setting up your professional profile doesn’t ask for a credit card.
Does signing up guarantee a job or new clients?
No. JobElf gives you tools to present yourself and connect with others, but opportunities and outcomes depend on employers, clients and your individual circumstances.
Professional profiles
What is a JobElf professional profile?
It’s a shareable page that brings your introduction, résumé, experience, skills, credentials and work samples together at one link. You can also turn on messages and booking, so visitors can contact you or book a meeting without needing a JobElf account.
How is JobElf different from other employment platforms?
JobElf combines job-search tools with a richer professional introduction. A video, your experience, credentials and work samples give you more ways to explain what you offer, and AI assistance can help you prepare your information. You review every suggestion before it’s used.
Do I have to record a video?
No. A video introduction is optional. It gives you another way to introduce yourself and explain your experience in your own words: 15 to 60 seconds, recorded in JobElf or uploaded.
Can I use my profile to showcase freelance or client work?
Yes. Work samples (a link or a file such as a PDF or an image) help you demonstrate relevant projects and explain your contribution. Only share work you created or have permission to publish, and leave out confidential material.
Can I turn my professional page off?
Yes, at any time. Choose Turn off my page in Preview & publish, or switch off Public professional page in Sharing & privacy. Visitors stop seeing your professional page right away, and your information is kept so you can publish again later.
Job seekers and employers
Is my professional page the same as being visible to employers?
No. They’re separate. When your professional page is published, anyone with your link can open it. Employer discovery decides whether employers can find your profile in JobElf search: Discoverable, Link only (signed-in employers with your link can open it) or Hidden. Sharing your page doesn’t turn employer discovery on.
What do employers see?
Employers see your employer view: your experience, skills, education, photo and introduction, built from the same information as your professional page. Unless you turn on Public résumé download, your résumé file is only available to verified employers. You can check it under Preview & publish with Employer view.
Can employers find me in JobElf search?
Only if you choose Discoverable under Employer discovery and publish your profile. To appear in employer search, your profile also needs a verified email, a professional title, at least one position, a profile photo, and your city and state.
How do I apply for jobs?
Find a job under Find Jobs and choose Apply with my Job Elf Profile. You’ll see exactly what the employer sees before you send it. To apply, your profile must be published and include a verified email, a professional title, at least one position, a profile photo, and your city and state. Track everything under Applications.
I’m hiring. Can I use JobElf?
Yes. Employers use a separate employer account to post jobs, search for candidates and message them.

Can people message me or book time with me?
Yes, if you turn those options on. In Contact & booking you can Allow visitors to message me and Allow visitors to book meetings in the times you choose. Visitors only see the options you’ve turned on and don’t need a JobElf account. Messages arrive in your JobElf inbox, and booked meetings appear in your JobElf calendar.
How do booked meetings take place?
You choose the meeting method: video call, phone call, in person or other. For a video call, add your own meeting room link; JobElf doesn’t create meeting links. Guests see the details you enter in their confirmation.
Does JobElf connect to Google Calendar?
Not yet. Google Calendar sync is coming soon and is not yet available, so events in your Google Calendar don’t block your booking times. Keep your JobElf availability up to date and add date exceptions for days you’re busy elsewhere. Your JobElf meetings and job interviews always block booking times.
Will my email address or phone number be shown?
Only if you choose to show them. Your account email, phone number and résumé contact details are never published automatically. In Contact & booking you can show an email address or phone number you enter yourself. When you reply to a visitor’s message, your email address stays private.
Pricing and privacy
Is my professional profile free?
Yes. The introductory professional-profile offer is free through December 31, 2026, with no credit card required and no automatic renewal. It’s open to every JobElf job seeker account and covers your professional page and work showcase, your booking link and availability, and messages in your JobElf inbox. Optional paid upgrades, such as Featured profile placement, are separate and not part of the offer.
What happens after December 31, 2026?
You won’t be enrolled in a paid subscription through this offer, and the offer never asks for a card. Any future paid option will require you to choose it. Continued free availability beyond December 31 has not been announced.
Can I choose what people see?
Yes. JobElf provides separate visibility and contact settings, and each one applies as soon as you change it. You decide whether search engines may list your page, whether visitors can download your résumé, whether an email address or phone number is shown, and whether visitors can message or book you. Review them in Preview & publish before you publish.
How do I download my data or delete my account?
Go to Settings & privacy and open Account details. You can download your data or delete your account there. Your contacts, bookings and professional messages are deleted with your account.
No questions match “”.
Try a different word, such as “price”, “booking” or “privacy”, or clear the search to browse every category.
