Put your repair and trade skills to work across a portfolio of commercial properties. SBM Commercial Real Estate is hiring a Building Maintenance Technician to handle general maintenance, repairs, and build-out projects at our Waukesha and Racine County locations.

You will have a mix of routine tasks and varied projects, an organized work order system, and opportunities to work independently while helping the people who use our properties. The hourly pay starts at $27 - $30/hour, based on experience. 

• Earn more through build-out bonus eligibility in addition to your base compensation.
• Grow your pay with performance-based increases at your 90-day, 6-month, and 12-month milestones.
• Keep your work varied with routine maintenance, repairs, and commercial build-outs.
• Build your skills with continuing education resources and opportunities for growth.

• Perform general building maintenance and repairs across multiple commercial properties.
• Complete routine maintenance tasks and address issues identified through work orders.
• Support build-outs and property improvement projects as assigned.
• Use the work order system to track assignments, document progress, and record completed work.
• Communicate professionally with tenants and team members about maintenance needs and progress.
• Travel between properties and maintain safe, orderly work areas.

• Experience in building maintenance, facilities repair, construction, or a related trade.
• Confidence using maintenance tools and equipment safely.
• The ability to organize your work, meet deadlines, and follow through with attention to detail.
• A helpful, service-oriented approach and comfort working independently.
• A clean driving record and the ability to travel between our properties.
• The ability to perform the physical duties of building maintenance, with or without reasonable accommodation.
