Certified Phlebotomy Technician

Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Phlebotomists to support the Blyth VA Clinic located at 1273 W Hobsonway, Blythe, CA, 92225.If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood samples for outpatient services.
• Ensure proper patient identification to eliminate errors.
• Accession and process specimens for testing.
• Maintain congenial relationships with staff and patients.
• Follow all infection control policies and procedures.
• Work under the supervision of the Phlebotomy Supervisor.
• Participate in training and continuing education sessions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency (i.e. CPT I/II licensing in California)
• Completion of an approved phlebotomy training course (or equivalent)
• American Heart Association (AHA) CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 3 years as a patient service technician/phlebotomist
• 2-3 years of phlebotomist experience in an acute care setting is preferred
• Proficiency in the following: blood collection by venipuncture and capillary technique from patients of all age groups, urine drug screen collections, paternity collections, breath/saliva alcohol testing, LCM/Cyber Tools, TestCup, pediatric blood collections, and difficult draws

Pay Range: $24.19 - $28.60 hourly
