Jovie is hiring a professional, engaging childcare provider for a clinic in Oceanside, CA! You'll care for children while their parents attend medical appointments in a dedicated children's room stocked with toys, books, and activities. This is a great opportunity for childcare professionals seeking a consistent weekday schedule without the commitment of working with one family.

Pay: $19.25–$21/hour, depending on experience

What You'll Do:

• Provide safe, nurturing care for children of all ages

• Supervise approximately 1–4 children at a time from different families

• Encourage learning through reading, play, and age-appropriate activities

• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming children's room

• Communicate professionally with families and clinic staff

• Represent Jovie with reliability and professionalism

Schedule:

• Monday: 8:45 AM–12:00 PM

• Tuesday: 2:45 PM–7:00 PM

• Wednesday: 10:45 AM–2:00 PM

• Thursday: 1:45 PM–6:00 PM

• Friday: 8:45 AM–12:00 PM

• Approximately 18 hours per week; clinic closed on federal holidays.

• Anticipated start: After Thanksgiving

You'll Be a Great Fit If You:

• Have at least 1 year of childcare experience outside of family or friends

• Are dependable, punctual, professional, and engaging

• Enjoy caring for children of different ages

• Have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license

• Can provide at least 2 childcare-related references and 1 character reference

• Are at least 18 years old

Experience may come from nannying, babysitting, daycare, preschool, church nursery, or other childcare settings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a traditional nanny position?
No. You'll provide childcare at a military clinic while parents attend appointments, rather than working in one family's home or on Jovie's on-call team.

How long is each childcare assignment?
Typically, 60–90 minutes per family. You'll welcome different children throughout your shift, generally caring for 1–4 children at a time.

What happens after I apply?
Our recruiting team will review your application and schedule an interview. Qualified candidates will complete screening and reference checks before receiving an offer and participating in Jovie orientation and training. Pay dates are every two weeks!
