In Wisconsin, anti-abortion politicians have spent years trying to take our freedom away. They’ve passed laws that interfere in personal medical decisions, created barriers to ending a pregnancy, and pushed to give politicians more control over our lives. This November, we can choose a different future. By electing Planned Parenthood–endorsed candidates, we can protect abortion access and ensure that decisions about pregnancy remain with each of us — not politicians. 

We’ll be going door to door to talk with our community members and neighbors about what’s at stake for reproductive rights, who Planned Parenthood endorses on their ballots, and when and how to vote for them in the Midterm election. Increasing voter turn out is one of the key ways to elect reproductive health champions this November, and we need your help to win. Candidates we’ll be talking with voters about: David Crowley for Governor, Josh Kaul for Attorney General, and Rebecca Cooke for Congress in CD3.

This role is a great opportunity to gain experience in the following areas: Leadership, Communication & Advocacy, Community Outreach & Engagement, Campaign Work, Public Policy, and Social Enterprise.

Get paid well! Canvassing positions start at $23/hour. Team Lead positions start at $25/hour. We offer overtime pay, driver bonuses, shift bonuses, paid training, sick pay, and bonuses for friend referrals.

Locations: Eau Claire, WI

We are hiring immediately, all positions run through November 3 with possibilities for advancement afterwards. Shifts run from 11:45AM - 8PM Tuesday - Sunday with the possibility to work part-time or full-time.

Canvasser Responsibilities ($23/hr):

• Engage with the public in a friendly and respectful manner
• Deliver a compelling campaign message, and collect complete survey answers from voters
• Participate in staff training to improve outreach skills
• Follow the campaign's safety protocols

Team Leader Responsibilities ($25/hr):

• The Canvasser Responsibilities plus:
• Manage a small group of canvassers out in the field by checking in with them periodically throughout the day, and debriefing with them at the end of the day
• Ensure each canvasser has all of the materials they need to be successful
• Assist directors with canvasser training and administrative work

The ideal candidate:

• Passionate about progressive politics and fostering democracy
• Strong communication skills; you should enjoy working with other people and be willing and excited to speak with everyone
• Hard worker who will stay motivated to engage as many people as possible
• Open to new challenges and are interested in building their campaign skills
• Culturally competent and able to respectfully engage with teammates and the community
• Prior canvassing experience is preferred, but not required.
