Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Anduril's Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) team is responsible for the development and implementation of programs that protect our people, facilities, and operations, and that comply with federal, state, and local regulations. EH&S encompasses occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental compliance, and crisis and emergency management. Our crisis management function safeguards Anduril's people, assets, and operations through crisis preparedness, actionable risk assessment, and coordinated emergency response, fostering a resilient safety culture that enables Anduril to innovate and operate confidently in a dynamic global environment.

ABOUT THE JOB

As Anduril continues to grow and tackle complex government and defense missions, we are seeking a dedicated Crisis Management Lead within our Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) organization, with a primary focus on training, education, and exercises. This role will be instrumental in supporting the EH&S Crisis Management Manager to enhance our crisis preparedness and response capabilities by owning the training and exercise program that turns Anduril's Emergency Response Plans (ERPs), Emergency Action Plans (EAPs), and Crisis Management playbooks into real-world readiness. You will design curriculum, deliver instruction, and facilitate drills and exercises for the Crisis Management Team, site Emergency Response Teams, and the broader workforce, and maintain the training records that demonstrate compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. You will also support the development and implementation of ERPs and EAPs and the coordination of responses during live incidents, making sure every lesson learned is fed back into how we train. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented crisis management professional and natural educator who is ready to help build a robust crisis management framework focused on immediate safety and operational continuity during emergencies.

This position supports the Crisis Management function under the direction of the Crisis Management Manager, and partners with Facilities, Corporate Security, Operations, Engineering, the People Team, and leadership to help reduce risk and improve organizational resilience and safety performance, with training and education as the primary lever.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead the Crisis Management Training Program: Own the design, development, and continuous improvement of the training and education program that prepares the Crisis Management Team (CMT), site Emergency Response Teams (ERTs), floor wardens, and the broader workforce to execute Anduril's ERPs and EAPs.
  • Build Role-Based Curriculum: Develop, create, maintain, and update training content for CMT and ERT members, including onboarding briefs, role-specific instruction, job aids, quick-reference cards, refreshers, e-learning modules, and facilitator guides, that translates plans and playbooks into clear, actionable skills.
  • Design and Facilitate Training, Drills, and Exercises: Build and run a progressive exercise program, from orientation seminars and tabletop exercises to drills and functional exercises, around customized, site-specific crisis scenarios that institutionalize response protocols and promote awareness; prepare scenario packages, inject schedules, and evaluation guides; and lead hotwashes and after-action reviews.
  • Deliver Training: Serve as the primary instructor for crisis management and emergency response training, delivering engaging sessions in person and virtually to technical and non-technical audiences, from site personnel to senior leadership, across multiple sites and shifts.
  • Drive Workforce Preparedness and Awareness: Develop and deliver new-hire emergency preparedness orientation, awareness campaigns, and education content so every employee knows how to recognize, report, and respond to an emergency.
  • Help Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Maintain records of training completion, drill and exercise documentation, rosters, and certifications, and support efforts to ensure crisis management training and practices meet applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and industry best practices, on demand and during audits or inspections.
  • Measure Competency and Effectiveness: Track participation, completion, and demonstrated competency; evaluate training and exercise outcomes against defined objectives; report training and exercise metrics to EH&S leadership; and use the results to target where additional instruction is needed.
  • Coordinate the Training and Exercise Calendar: Plan and manage the annual schedule of training, drills, and exercises across sites in partnership with the Crisis Management Manager, Facilities, and site leadership.
  • Support Emergency Response and Action Plans: Assist in the design, writing, and implementation of Emergency Response Plans (ERPs), Emergency Action Plans (EAPs), and associated protocols, and translate each plan into the training, job aids, and exercises personnel need to carry it out.
  • Support Risk Assessment: Assist in identifying and analyzing potential risks relevant to emergency scenarios, contribute to mitigation strategies within ERPs, and use those findings to prioritize training needs and build realistic exercise scenarios.
  • Contribute to Communication Management: Assist in establishing and testing clear communication channels for emergency situations, building communication checks into drills and exercises so stakeholders receive timely and accurate information.
  • Assist with Crisis Management Support: Support the coordination of responses during critical incidents, helping to minimize confusion and downtime by ensuring adherence to established Crisis Management playbooks, ERPs, and EAPs, and translate after-action findings into training improvements.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with Facilities, Corporate Security, Legal, HR, Operations, Engineering, and site leadership so that training reflects real response procedures and crisis response strategies align with organizational goals across locations.
  • Partner Within EH&S: Coordinate with occupational safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental compliance colleagues so that crisis training and plans reflect site-specific hazards, and support their training needs by helping build content, standardize instructional quality, and coordinate delivery.
  • Support Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the regular review and update of the Crisis Management framework, playbooks, ERPs, EAPs, and training content based on lessons learned from actual incidents, exercises, and emerging threats.
