About the Role & Location We are seeking a dedicated, bilingual Direct Support Professional (1099 Independent Contractor) fluent in both English and Spanish to provide individualized, one-on-one care in Albemarle, NC (Zip Code: 28001). In this full-time contractor role, you will provide up to 40 hours per week split between Day Support Individual (DSI) and Supported Employment (SE), along with Respite care available on a PRN (as-needed) basis.

Our ideal contractor brings strong communication skills in both English and Spanish, patience, and a passion for community integration and vocational development. Your focus will be on supporting meaningful day activities, helping the member succeed at their job site, and fostering long-term personal independence.

Key Responsibilities
• Day Support Individual (DSI): Provide structured one-on-one assistance to promote independence, daily living skill development, and community participation.
• Supported Employment (SE): Provide vocational coaching and on-site job support, ensuring task success, positive workplace interactions, and professional skill building.
• Bilingual Communication: Seamlessly communicate in both English and Spanish with the member, family, employers, and care teams.
• Respite Support (PRN): Provide supervision, safety support, and engaging activities as needed.
• Goal Progression & Safety: Collaborate with care coordinators and family members to follow service plans, maintain safety protocols, and track progress toward functional goals.

Schedule & Pay Rates This 1099 Independent Contractor position pays:
• Day Support Individual (DSI): $18.25 per hour
• Supported Employment (SE): $21.00 per hour
• Respite Care: PRN (as needed)

Work Schedule:
• Total Weekly Hours: Up to 40 hours per week
• Daily Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM each day (Services varied based on needs at the supported employment site) • Day Support (DSI): Up to 32 hours per week
• Supported Employment (SE): Up to 8 hours per week
• Respite Support: Available PRN (as needed)

Qualifications
• Contractor Status: Must be willing to contract as a 1099 Independent Contractor.
• Language Skills: Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (required).
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Experience: Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, including vocational coaching or day support, preferred.
• Transportation: Valid North Carolina Driver’s License, reliable personal vehicle, and active auto insurance (required).
• Screening: Ability to pass standard background check.
