About the Role & Location We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Direct Support Professional (1099 Independent Contractor) to provide individualized, one-on-one care in Kannapolis, NC (Zip Code: 28083). In this role, you will work directly with a member in their home and community, providing Community Living & Supports (CLS) during weekday afternoons/evenings and Respite care on Saturdays to promote independence, daily skill development, and meaningful community integration.

Our ideal contractor brings a warm, patient, and person-centered approach, focusing on helping the member navigate daily routines, build life skills, and achieve their personal goals in a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Daily Living & Skill Building: Provide hands-on assistance and guidance with daily living activities, routine household tasks, and personal care as needed during weekday CLS hours.
• Respite Support & Supervision: Provide dedicated supervision and engaging, age-appropriate activities during Saturday respite hours to ensure safety and give family caregivers valuable relief.
• Community Integration: Support and accompany the member on community outings, appointments, and recreational activities to foster social connections and independence.
• Goal Progression & Safety: Partner with care coordinators and family members to implement care plans, adhere to safety guidelines, and maintain consistent routines.

Schedule & Pay Rates This 1099 Independent Contractor position pays:
• Community Living & Supports (CLS): $16.75 per hour
• Respite Care: $15.00 per hour

Work Schedule:
• Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM (CLS care)
• Saturday: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Respite care)

Qualifications
• Contractor Status: Must be willing to contract as a 1099 Independent Contractor.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Experience: Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Transportation: Valid North Carolina Driver’s License, reliable personal vehicle, and active auto insurance (required).
• Screening: Ability to pass standard background checks and drug screening.
