About the Role & Location We are seeking a dedicated, reliable, and supportive Direct Support Professional (1099 Independent Contractor) to provide individualized, one-on-one vocational support in Charlotte, NC (Zip Code: 28278). In this role, you will work directly with a member, providing 12 hours weekly of Supported Employment (SE) services to foster workplace success, independence, and professional growth.

Our ideal contractor brings patience, encouraging mentorship, and strong interpersonal skills, focusing on coaching the member in workplace duties, navigating job-related routines, and building natural workplace connections in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Vocational Coaching & Job Support: Provide structured on-site support to assist the member with learning job responsibilities, mastering work tasks, and maintaining workplace standards.
• Work Routine & Skill Building: Assist with time management, task completion, professional communication, and self-advocacy in the workplace.
• Goal Progression & Safety: Partner with care coordinators, family members, and employment partners to implement service plans, maintain safety, and track progress toward vocational goals.
• Reliable Communication: Maintain clear and open communication regarding work schedules, job site performance, and overall member well-being.

Schedule & Pay Rate This 1099 Independent Contractor position pays:
• Supported Employment (SE): $20.02 per hour

Work Schedule:
• Part-Time: 12 hours weekly (Specific work days and shift times discussed during initial interview based on member's employment schedule).

Qualifications
• Contractor Status: Must be willing to contract as a 1099 Independent Contractor.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Experience: Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, particularly in vocational coaching, supported employment, or job training, preferred.
• Transportation: Valid North Carolina Driver’s License, reliable personal vehicle, and active auto insurance (required).
• Screening: Ability to pass standard background check.
