About the job

Mitigation Supervisor (Water, Fire, Mold)

Littleton, CO | Denver metro job sites, about 70% field | $65,000 to $75,000 annually, salaried, plus full benefits

Every loss is different. The way we handle it is not. At Spyder Construction, mitigation runs on IICRC standards, documented drying plans, and job files that hold up to any adjuster's review. We are looking for a Mitigation Supervisor who takes pride in doing the work right, the same way, every time, and who keeps crews, equipment, and documentation in order across several active jobs.

If you are the one who catches the missed moisture reading, the one crews trust to know the standard, and the one whose files never come back from accounting with questions, this role was built for you.

What You Will Own

Run each job to standard, from first call to closeout

• Walk new losses, identify the category and class of water, and document the scope of loss.

• Set the drying plan, including equipment placement, containment, and demolition, following IICRC S500 and S520.

• Track drying progress daily, review moisture readings, and confirm the structure meets dry standard before equipment comes off.

• Record labor, equipment, and materials every day so billing matches the work and holds up to review.

Keep crews organized and consistent

• Schedule technicians, leads, and equipment across active jobs, and adjust with the Mitigation Manager when priorities shift.

• Direct crews on site with clear expectations, and work alongside them when the job calls for it.

• Train technicians and leads on technique, documentation, and safety so every crew works to the same standard.

• Enforce safety and PPE requirements on every site.

Keep everyone informed

• Give adjusters, property managers, and owners clear, accurate daily updates.

• Document scope changes as change orders before the work is done.

• Handle customer concerns calmly and follow them through to resolution.

Own the file

• Maintain moisture maps, drying logs, photos, and equipment records on every job.

• Review technician documentation for accuracy and completeness.

• Close out job files and hand complete, accurate packages to accounting for invoicing.

Strengthen the process

• Work closely with the Mitigation Manager and escalate decisions that fall outside standard procedure.

• Help build and refine the checklists, procedures, and standards our department runs on.

What You Bring

Required

• 5+ years of hands-on water, fire, or mold mitigation experience, including 2+ years leading crews or running jobs

• IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying (ASD) certifications, current or previously held

• Working knowledge of IICRC S500 and S520

• Experience scoping losses and communicating directly with adjusters and property managers

• Strong organization and written communication, and comfort with job documentation software on a tablet or laptop

• Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred

• Xactimate experience (Level 1 or higher)

• IICRC AMRT and FSRT certifications

• Large-loss commercial and multifamily experience

• Bilingual in English and Spanish

This role is a strong fit if you value a clear standard, a manager you can count on, and doing the job thoroughly the first time. It is not a fit if you prefer to set your own rules job by job, if documentation feels like paperwork that gets in the way, or if you are looking for a role built around sales or networking. Losses come in on their own schedule, so be ready for urgent calls and changing plans.

The Work Itself

• Full-time, salaried position.

• About 70% of your time is on job sites across the Denver metro. The rest is at our Littleton office on scheduling, estimates, and job files.

• Physical requirements: lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, work in crawlspaces, attics, and other tight or wet spaces, work in all weather, and wear full PPE as required.

• After-hours, weekend, and on-call emergency response may be required.

• Reports to the Mitigation Manager. You direct technicians and leads in the field day to day, with no formal direct reports.

Why Spyder

We would rather be reliably excellent than occasionally brilliant, and our mitigation work reflects that. You will own your jobs from start to finish, backed by a manager and a team that hold the same standard you do. Adjusters and property managers trust us because our updates are accurate and our files are clean, and that trust is built one job at a time. As our department grows, you will help shape the procedures and training that the next generation of technicians learns from.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary of $65,000 to $75,000 annually, based on experience and certifications

• Company-paid life insurance

• Paid time off and sick leave

• Health, dental, and vision insurance

• 401(k) with a 4% company match

• Optional accident and critical illness insurance

• Employee assistance program
