The opportunity

Good decisions rely on trusted data. As Business Intelligence Developer, you’ll design, build and evolve the reporting and analytics our teams use to run and grow the business.

This is a modern reporting role. We’re moving beyond static dashboards and manual report packs towards a governed cloud data platform, a trusted Power BI semantic layer, and AI-assisted and agentic reporting that answers questions, drafts commentary and surfaces exceptions with minimal manual effort. You’ll build the reports, and also the systems, patterns and agents that build and run them.

Your remit

• Design, build and maintain Power BI models, reports and dashboards for clinic operations, pathology, finance, people and executive reporting
• Build and monitor cloud data warehouse pipelines and API integrations that bring practice management, finance, laboratory and HR data together, with automated quality checks
• Design agentic and AI-assisted reporting, supported by a governed semantic layer, certified metrics and clear guardrails
• Champion data governance, maintaining consistent business definitions and KPIs across the network
• Deploy, monitor and improve what you ship, and train and support the business to use it

What you’ll bring

• Demonstrated experience building enterprise Power BI solutions, including dimensional modelling, advanced DAX and row-level security
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with a cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake, BigQuery or Redshift
• Practical experience designing and operating ETL/ELT pipelines, and integrating systems using APIs and workflow automation tools
• Strong business analytics capability and the ability to turn data into clear, decision-ready insight
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication, with meticulous attention to detail and good documentation habits

Experience with Python, orchestration tools or AI-native analytics, building custom data apps, or working in veterinary, healthcare, laboratory or multi-site businesses is advantageous.
