AvaMed Workforce is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a 6-month evening contract at California State Prison, Corcoran in Corcoran, CA (Medical, 8-hour shifts).

Assignment details

  • Location: California State Prison, Corcoran (COR), Corcoran, CA
  • Dates: 11/23/2026 - 05/23/2027 (6 months)
  • Shift: Wednesday-Sunday, 1:45 PM-10:15 PM (8-hour shifts, 30-min meal)
  • Orientation: 1 week; on-the-job training 4-6 weeks
  • Cerner EHR and basic computer skills highly desired

Responsibilities

  • Assist with patient care, vital signs and activities of daily living
  • Document care accurately and report changes to nursing staff
  • Follow all safety, security and contraband procedures

Requirements

  • Active California CNA certification (CDPH)
  • Current BLS (AHA)
  • Correctional experience preferred
  • Background check and facility security clearance
  • TB test, immunizations and facility health clearances
