Holiday Babysitter – Seattle Metro

Jovie is hiring experienced, caring childcare providers to support Seattle-area and Eastside-area families this holiday season. You choose the days that work for you, families count on you for those days, and we build your schedule around them.

You choose the pattern. We build your schedule around it.

Choose at least 2 regular days a week through January 4. Popular schedules:

• Weekend Team: Saturday + Sunday
• Start the Week: Monday + Tuesday, our busiest days
• Short-Shift Option: Looking for 4-hour shifts only? We have that schedule too.
• Or build your own: any 2 or more days that fit your life

Pay: $23–$25/hour, depending on experience, plus overtime when applicable
Holiday bonus: Keep your scheduled days and earn $100 for every 50 hours you work between November 16 and January 4.

What you'll do:

• Provide safe, nurturing care for infants and children in families' homes
• Manage meals, naps and daily routines
• Keep kids engaged with reading, play and age-appropriate activities
• Update parents on how the day went

You're a great fit if you:

• Have at least 1 year of childcare experience outside family and friends. Nannying, babysitting, daycare, preschool, teaching, camp and church nursery all count
• Can commit to at least 2 regular days a week through January 4
• Are dependable, warm and professional
• Communicate well with parents and kids
• Have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Can provide 3 references: 2 childcare-related and 1 character reference
• Are 18 or older

What happens after you apply:

We'll review your application and schedule an interview, where we'll talk through the days you'd like to commit to. Then we complete screening and reference checks and send an offer. You'll attend Orientation and Training on the Jovie Way, and we'll staff you with families on your chosen days as care is requested. Payday is every two weeks.
