Operations Director – Behavioral Health | Launch AWA North Carolina!

Mooresville, NC | On-Site | Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 11 AM–7 PM | $80,000/year

Adolescent Wellness Academy (AWA) is opening our first North Carolina clinic in early 2027, and we're looking for an Operations Director to help launch it!

AWA provides Joint Commission-accredited PHP and IOP mental health care for teens ages 13–17 and their families.

You'll lead daily operations, build a strong team, manage budgets and performance, and shape the systems that make our new clinic thrive.

What You'll Do

• Clinic Operations: Lead daily operations, scheduling, facility management, and workflows.
• Team Leadership: Hire, train, supervise, and develop the operations team.
• Budgets & KPIs: Manage expenses, census, attendance, and operational performance.
• Compliance & Safety: Oversee state licensing, HIPAA, accreditation, and audit readiness.
• Process Improvement: Build SOPs, streamline workflows, and improve efficiency.
• Collaboration: Partner with clinical, admissions, outreach, and HR teams.
• Clinic Launch: Help build and grow AWA North Carolina from the ground up!

What You Bring

• 3+ years of operations leadership with direct team supervision.
• 2+ years in behavioral health or healthcare operations.
• Experience managing budgets, KPIs, hiring, and staff development.
• Strong operational judgment, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Ability to pass required background and drug screening.
• On-site availability, Monday–Friday, 11 AM–7 PM (fixed schedule).
• Clinic launch experience, EMR knowledge, or bilingual skills a plus.
