Part-Time Physician / Nurse Practitioner – Job Corps Medical Service

Schedule:

Part-time. Approximately 400 hours per year, generally 1–2 days per week, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM at the Flatwoods Job Corps Center in Coeburn, VA.

Summary:

Ladgov Corporation is seeking a qualified Medical Provider (Physician or Nurse Practitioner) to provide on-site medical services to students at the Flatwoods Job Corps Center.

Requirements:

• Current, active, and unrestricted medical license with authority to practice in Virginia.

• Valid DEA registration.

• Current medical/professional liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.

• Relevant experience providing primary care, routine medical assessments, and treatment.

• Ability to successfully complete required background screening and drug testing.

• Strong communication, documentation, and patient-care skills.

• Experience working with adolescents or young adults is preferred.

Duties:

• Perform medical examinations, assessments, and routine clinical evaluations.

• Diagnose and treat common illnesses, injuries, and medical conditions.

• Prescribe medications and provide appropriate follow-up care.

• Provide or oversee immunizations and preventive healthcare services.

• Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation.

• Refer students for specialty or emergency medical care when necessary.

• Coordinate medical services with the Health and Wellness Director and other center staff.

• Provide health education and support student wellness and preventive-care initiatives.
