Retail Consultant – Part-Time Weekdays 

Location: Homemakers Furniture | Urbandale, Iowa
Starting Pay: $19 per hour 

Are you someone who enjoys helping people find the right fit for their home? Homemakers Furniture is looking for part-time Retail Consultants to help customers explore furniture, mattresses, and home accessories while providing a welcoming and helpful shopping experience. 

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a part-time retail position with weekday availability. 

What You'll Do 

• Welcome customers and learn about their needs, preferences, and style. 
• Help customers explore furniture, mattresses, and accessories that fit their home and lifestyle. 
• Build product knowledge to confidently explain features, pricing, and financing options. 
• Keep the showroom organized, clean, and ready for customers. 
• Work with Retail Consultants, Leads, and Department Managers to support a great customer experience and department performance. 
• Stay current on products, promotions, and store initiatives. 

What We're Looking For 

• Strong communication and customer service skills. 
• A dependable, team-oriented approach. 
• An interest in furniture, home furnishings, or interior design. 
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems. 
• The ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed. 

Retail experience is helpful but not required. We provide training to help you learn our products, processes, and approach to customer service. 

Schedule 

• Monday–Friday availability required. 
• Daytime availability during regular store hours. 
• Part-time hours scheduled based on business needs.
