Retail Consultant – Part-Time Weekends 

Location: Homemakers Furniture | Urbandale, Iowa

Starting Pay: $20 per hour 

Do you enjoy working with people and helping them find the right pieces for their home? Homemakers Furniture is looking for dependable, customer-focused Retail Consultants to support our team on weekends. 

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for part-time work with Saturday and Sunday availability, with the possibility of picking up additional weekday shifts. 

What You'll Do 

• Welcome customers and learn about their needs, preferences, and style. 
• Help customers explore furniture, mattresses, and accessories that fit their home and lifestyle. 
• Build product knowledge to confidently explain features, pricing, and financing options. 
• Keep the showroom organized, clean, and ready for customers. 
• Work with Retail Consultants, Leads, and Department Managers to support a great customer experience and department performance. 
• Stay current on products, promotions, and store initiatives. 

What We're Looking For 

• Strong communication and customer service skills. 
• A dependable, team-oriented approach. 
• An interest in furniture, home furnishings, or interior design. 
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems. 
• The ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed. 

Retail experience is helpful but not required. We provide training to help you learn our products, processes, and approach to customer service. 

Schedule 

• Saturday and Sunday availability required. 
• Shifts scheduled during regular store hours based on business needs. 
• Additional weekday shifts may be available based on your availability and staffing needs.
